The Study on Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment(TPBA)

Abstract
Recently, we emphasize at the early intervention, the natural environment which is suitable to the multipurpose use of assessment and can facilitate the infant"s optimal development, and the team approach assessment which includes the active participation of parents. In this point, this is an examination to meets the early intervention"s desire to introduce the theory and process of implementation for transdisciplinary paly-based assessment(TPBA).
The definite purposes are followed First, we explore and present the theory to relate with transdisciplinary play-based assessment. Second, we ascertain the process of implementation to relate with TPBA. Third, we ascertain the factors to relate with TPBA.
TPBA uses the playas the most natural activity for the infant with disorder, so encourages the optimal performance level for the infant with disorder. In addition, at assessment processes, parents will participate as one of the team members that play an important role in checking the infant"s development history at test beginning, and then inform the team members of the infant"s home activity, comparing with the activity at tests, and observe infant"s activity and communicate the needs of family when planning the intervention to determine the priority of program.
So, TPBA that will offer an early interventionist the means to diagnose disability and develop an intervention program that suites to the multipurpose of assessment and prompts the optimal development for the infant with disability, and guarantees the parents to participate actively.
